Elephants destroy prawn gheries in lake in Odisha

Berhampur: A herd of ten elephants went on a rampage and destroyed prawn gheries in Bahuda lake near Chikiti in Odisha’s Ganjam district, today.

The pachyderms also demolished several boats and fishing nets of local fishermen worth lakhs.

The animals were stuck in the water body and later rescued by Forest officials. The elephants then went into a nearby forest.
