Food poisoning leaves over 20 ill in New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express

Bhubaneswar: More than 20 passengers of New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express fell ill today allegedly due to food poisoning.

According to reporters, the passengers complained of uneasiness, stomach ache, vomiting and loose motion after consuming the food served by the Railways last night.

The passengers were provided medical aid after the train stopped at the Bokaro station today. Some irate passengers also created ruckus at the station, following which Railways officials reached the spot and pacified them.

The train resumed journey after remaining stationed at Bokaro for an hour. Condition of the passengers is stated to be stable now.

“The pantry car is being checked and food samples are collected to investigate the quality of food,” said a spokesperson of the Railways.
