Hardcore criminal injured in encounter in Odisha’s Puri

Dreaded criminal Rabi Pradhan was seriously injured in encounter in Odisha’s Puri late last night.

He was admitted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack. Police have seized a pistol, live bullets and a motor cycle from his possession.
According to report, the encounter took place near Kadua Bridge under Gop police limits when the security personnel tried to stop Rabi, who was travelling from Jagatsinghpur to Puri. The security personnel retaliated when Rabi tried to escape the spot by opening fire at them.
He sustained injury on his right leg in exchange of fire.
The shootout was reported just a week after Gora Mallick was arrested following an encounter near Delanga area in the district.
