Bhubaneswar: Odisha today registered the highest single-day spike of 3682 COVID-19 cases taking the tally to 94,668, informed the Government.
Khordha recorded an all-time-high of 775 cases followed by Rayagada (495), Cuttack (369) and Mayurbhanj (272). Total 10 districts reported over 100 fresh cases.
Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 2241 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1441 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department.

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 28,836. However, 65,323 patients have recovered in the state so far.
It is pertinent to mention here that total 58,840 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 16,12,097 tests have been conducted in the state.
