In Pics: LED streetlights illuminate Cuttack-Puri bypass road

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik last evening inaugurated the LED street lighting system on Cuttack-Puri bypass road. It covers 12 km stretch from Palasuni Chhak to Lingipur Chhak on the bypass road.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has installed 774 LED lights in 387 poles, 3 high-mast lights in Lingipur, Keshura, and Pandra.

The CM said the lights will reduce cost of electricity and ensure safety for public, especially drivers and pedestrians as well as help in reducing road accidents, crime and theft.

Odisha Tourism has spent Rs 2.85 crore on the lighting project.
