Jeweller shot dead in Odisha’s Rourkela

Rourkela: A jeweller was allegedly shot dead by unidentified miscreants near Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) in the city this evening.

The deceased, identified as Saroj, was returning home after closing his jewellery shop located at STI square here when the miscreants opened fire at him. The attackers looted valuables and jewelleries from his possession.

He sustained bullet injuries on his head and was admitted to the RGH for treatment. However, he breathed his last while undergoing treatment.

Police have started investigation into the incident.
