Jnanendra quits Cong, joins Trinamool

A day after Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Bhupinder Singh and CLP secretary Anup Sai joined the ruling Biju Janata Dal, another senior party leader Arya Kumar Jnanendra today resigned from the party and joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

According to reports, Jnanendra joined TMC after meeting the party supremo Mamata Banerjee at Kolkata today who appointed him as the convener of party’s Odisha unit.

It may be mentioned that the TMC has decided to contest four Lok Sabha and 40 Assembly seats in Odisha.
