Khurda loot: 3 from Banki arrested; stolen cash seized      

Khodha: The Begunia police of Khurda district arrested three persons of Puincha village in Banki of Cuttack district in connection with the loot of over Rs 60 lakh from two employees of a cash management company near Gediapalli here on November 8.

Acting on a tip-off, the cops raided houses of Papu Martha, Sudhir Mohanty and Sunil Mohanty at Puincha village yesterday and seized stolen cash from their possession. Under the supervision of Khurda SP, a joint team including SDPO and Khurda Town police station IIC conducted the joint raid.

However, police did not divulge the details on amount of money seized from the houses.

On November 8, six miscreants came on three bikes and looted Rs 61.47 lakh from two staff of Radiant Cash Management Service Pvt Ltd at gunpoint near Gediapalli while the two were going to a bank in a car to deposit the money.

Further investigation into the incident is on, police said.
