Lightning, thunderstorm likely in 26 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The local meteorological centre here this evening has warned of thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and rainfall in 26 districts of Odisha.

“Latest doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm with lightning and rainfall is likely to occur over the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Puri, Nayagarh,Balangir,Jagatsinghpur,Kendrapra,Sonepur,Boudh,Nua-pada, Cuttack ,Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Khorda, Ganjam , Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal and Sundergarh between 9 pm today and 1 am tomorrow,” said a bulletin of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMC) local centre issued this evening.
