Man attempts suicide after BMC demolishes house in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar, Mar 18:
A person today attempted to commit suicide after his house at Salia Sahi in Odisha capital was demolished during an eviction drive by Enforcement Squad of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

According to reports, one Rajkumar Tripathy of Salia Sahi consumed poison after his house was demolished this afternoon.
He was admitted to hospital in a critical condition, reports added.
Tension gripped the spot following the incident as irate locals detained three vehicles of BMC and Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA).
