Man kills minor girl in her house over one-sided love affair in Odisha’s Angul

Angul: A man allegedly killed a 12-year-old girl at Kueio village on the outskirts of Odisha’s Angul town, today.

According to reports, the accused entered the house of the minor girl at around 10 AM when she was with her mother.

He then pushed the woman and slit the girl’s neck with a sharp weapon. The accused fled the spot after committing the crime.

The victim was rescued by her family members and rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Police have recovered the body and started an investigation.

Though the reason behind the killing was yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that the murder was a fallout of an one-sided love affair.
