Muslim sculptor creates Ganesha idol for deaf and mute

Bhubaneswar, Sep 1:

Preparations are in full swing in Bhubaneswar as the capital city is ready to welcome one of the most worshiped deities in India: Ganesha. Some mute and deaf students from Bipin Bihari Choudhry High School for the Deaf made a 6-foot tall Ganesha idol for their school.

Under the supervision of a Muslim sculptor Nasim Azam, 10 students from the school made the beautiful idol of Ganesha with materials costing about Rs. 1500.

“For an artist, religion is not a barrier, all religions are same”, said Nasim. Nasim further added how the students put lots of efforts in making this idol.
