Neelachal Express en route to Odisha develops technical snag

Bhubaneswar: The New Delhi-Puri Neelachal Express (12876) train developed a technical snag and came to a halt today in West Bengal on the way to Odisha.

According to sources, the train was halted for more than one hour near Hijli village in West Bengal, causing much inconvenience to passengers.

The train developed a technical snag due to short circuit in the engine, the source added.

The train was stationed at the same place till last reports came in.

The train, which left Anand Vihar (New Delhi) station at 6.30 a.m., stopped between Dantan and Laxananth stations, around 4 kms from Jaleswar of Balasore district, due to a reported technical snag.

An East Coast Railway (ECoR) Spokesperson said the train was stopped due to pantograph of the train entangled with overhead wire.

The Railway officials hurriedly dispatched a diesel engine to the spot to bring the train back to its destination.
