No confidence motion: Odisha’s BJD to announce its decision on floor

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development in the no confidence motion moved by the Opposition against the Narendra Modi government, Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has decided to announce its decision on the floor of the House tomorrow.

The party has also issued whip to all its Lok Sabha MPs to remain present during the no-confidence motion discussion in the Parliament.

Decisions in this regard were taken at the parliamentary party meeting of BJD in New Delhi today.

“The BJD will raise issues like Centre’s non-fulfilment of its promise on doubling farmers’ income, Special Category Status to Odisha, Mahanadi & Polavaram matters in the Lok Sabha tomorrow during discussion,” said BJD MP Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo.

Notably, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Wednesday accepted a no confidence motion moved by the Opposition against the Narendra Modi government and said that discussion and voting on it will take place on Friday.
