NSUI activists show black flags at Odisha CM, 20 detained

Berhampur, Oct 4:

Odisha unit of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) and Youth Congress activists today showed black flags to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while he was on a day-long tour of Ganjam district.

The incident took place near PVN Rao fuel station near Berhampur while the Chief Minister was on his way to the town.

Even though the local police attempted to block the demonstrators, some of them clashed with the security staff and managed to wave black flags at the convoy of Patnaik.

The cops have detained 20 activists in connection with the incident.

The Chief Minister’s programmes, however, went according to the plan. He inaugurated several project in the district.
