Odisha +2 Science exam-2017 results out; 81.11% students successful

Bhubaneswar, May 12:

The results of +2 Science examination-2017, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), were today declared by School & Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra at CHSE office here.

The overall pass percentage has been recorded at 81.11 per cent.

Out of 90,643 students who had appeared in the exam, 73,523 have passed, the minister said.

A total of 19,087 students have passed in 1st division, 26,322 in 2nd class and 27,597 students in 3rd division.

As many as 27 students, 18 boys and 9 girls, have secured more than 90 per cent marks

Girls have outshined boys in the examination as 82.36 per cent of girls passed the exam while 80.29 per cent of boys cleared it.

Balasore district achieved the highest success as a maximum of 93.61 per cent students from the district have passed the exam.

Lowest number of students have passed from Jharsuguda district with a pass percentage of 50.51.

Three colleges each from Koraput, Nayagarh and Puri districts have secured zero results as no one from these educational institutions managed to pass the exam.

Students can check their results at www.chseodisha.nic.in and www.orissaresults.nic.in.

Those who are not satisfied with their results can apply online for rechecking of their answer sheets by May 29, officials said.

Students can collect certificates and mark sheets from their respective colleges from May 23 onwards, the officials added.

Results of +2 examination-2017 of Arts and Commerce streams will be published by May 29, the minister said.
