Odisha activist Sruti Mohapatra to get Kadambini Samman

Bhubaneswar, June 29:

Noted social activist Sruti Mahapatra will be presented with the Kadambini Samman-2014 on the 15th anniversary of Odisha’s first monthly family magazine Kadambini on June 2.

Besides, the fourth anniversary of the children’s magazine ‘Kunikatha’ will also be held here on the same day.

Prizes will be given to eminent writers and illustrators for their contributions.

Among the other Kadambini awardees are Dr Kabita Barik (Short Stories), Khirod Parida ( translation), Bijay Malla ( Features), Prabasini Mahakud ( Poetry), Gargi Mohanty and Amar Prsad Swain ( Graphics & Illustration).

Among others, litterateurs Natabara Khuntia and Sangram Keshari Prusty will be felicitated with the Kunikatha Popular Writer Award.

Yajnaseni Bastia will be presented with the Kunikatha Kuni Pratibha Award.

Kadambini founder Dr Achyuta Samanta and editor Dr Iti Samanta have requested literature lovers to attend the event.
