The House today continued to witness uproarious scenes like preceding days over chit fund issue and was adjourned repeatedly after the all-party meeting called by Speaker Niranjan Pujari today failed to bring any result.

Not only opposition Congress and BJP members, but also ruling party MLAs were seen shouting slogans every time the House resumed.

Unable to run the House, the Speaker adjourned the House till 3 pm. Later, the demand of Urban Development was discussed and passed in the House amidst three adjournments and din. Besides, the opposition members staged a walkout during the demand discussion.

Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra, on the other hand, wrote a letter to the Speaker requesting him to do the necessary to restore normalcy in House. He further assured that Congress is interested in taking part in discussion on appropriation bill scheduled to be tabled tomorrow.

BJP, however, did not make its moves public.

“The all-party meeting failed to bring any result as the Chief Minister clearly ruled out making a statement on the floor of the House. We had sought a ruling from the Speaker on this context; however, he adjourned the House. We are left with little choice now,” said BJP MLA Pradeep Purohit.
