Odisha extends partial lockdown with more relaxations; here’re details

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government today further extended the partial lockdown by two weeks till 6 AM on August 1.

“Situation has not come under complete control yet. Hence, the partial lockdown has been extended further,” said Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra.

However, the state Government has made certain relaxations in the partial lockdown restrictions.

As per the fresh guidelines, shops and business establishments in Category-A districts will be allowed to remain open from 6 AM to 8 PM and from 6 AM to 5 PM in Category-B districts. Weekend Curfew will continue in Category B districts. However, the shops in Category-B districts will be allowed to open only on weekdays.

In another major relaxation, the Government has allowed functioning of gyms and beauty parlours throughout the state. Besides, bus services will also resume across the state.

Besides, indoor and outdoor shooting will now be allowed throughout state.

The 20 districts that come under Category-A are Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada, Sonepur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boudh, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Angul, Dhenkanal and Keonjhar.   

Besides, 10 districts that are classified under Category-B are Khordha, Puri, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj.
