Odisha govt appoints Coordinating Officers for 13 medical colleges and hospitals

Bhubaneswar: With an aim to improve overall performance, infrastructure development and functioning of medical colleges and hospitals, the State government today appointed 10 senior IAS officers as coordinating officers of the institutions.

While Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mahapatra has been appointed as coordinating officer of Sundergarh Medical College and Hospital (NTPC) amd Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research, Burla, Agriculture Production Commissioner Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has been given charge of Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital, Balasore and MKCG medical college and hospital, Berhampur.

Other IAS officers who were appointed as coordinating officers of different medical colleges and hospitals as follows:

Government Medical Colleges and Hospital, Keonjhar – Raj Kumar Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, Steel and Mines Department

Jajpur Medical College and Hospital – Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary, Forest and Environment department

Angul Medical College and Hospital (MCL) – Anu Garg, Principal Secretary, Labour and ESI and Women and Child Development department

Kandhamal Medical College and Hospital and Santha Bhim Bhoi Medical College and Hospital, Bolangir – Nikunja Bihari Dhal, Principal Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management department

Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College and Hospital, Koraput – AKK Meena, Principal Secretary, Finance department

Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital, Baripada – Surendra Kumar, Principal Secretary, Water Resources department

Government Medical College and Hospital, Bhawanipatna – Hemant Sharma, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Industries department

Shree Jagannath Medical College and Hospital, Puri – Krishan Kumar, Secretary, Works department
