Odisha Weather Alert: Thunderstorm with 40-50 kmph wind likely to lash several districts today

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm with 40-50 kmph wind today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

“Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Cuttack and thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Sundargarh,” the Meteorological Centre predicted and issued Yellow Warning for these districts.

“Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha,” it added.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next 4-5 days over the districts of Odisha.
