Senior Congress leader Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra (Lulu) who had been behind the egg attack on BJD ministers had literally egg on his face today  since hardly hours after him announcing to the media that Rajat Choudhary president of the Odisha unit of the Youth Congress had tendered his resignation from the post, Rajat told Kanak News that he hasn’t resigned from his post.

“I haven’t resigned. Neither have I spoken to the senior leader on my resignation. How could anyone know what is there in my mind,” asked Rajat Choudhary president of the state unit of the Youth Congress speaking to Kanak News.

Earlier in the evening  Mohapatra showing a piece of paper told the media that Rajat has tendered his resignation from the post today.

“He told me that he was no way involved but since allegations have surfaced against me I am resigning. I am having his resignation letter which I will be sending to the All India Youth Congress president in the evening,” said Mohapatra speaking to reporters here.

Interestingly, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) chief Prasad Harichandan had pleaded ignorance of Rajat’s resignation from the post.

“I have no knowledge of Rajat Choudhary resigning from the post of president of the state unit of the Youth Congress. As per procedure the Youth Congress president of the state unit will send his resignation to the All India Youth Congress (AIYC) president I will be informed by the AIYC president if he has resigned,” said Harichandan OPCC president responding to queries by reporters on Rajat’s resignation.

Rajat was  interrogated by the CBI in two sessions today for his alleged links with the AT Group.
