Odisha’s Shefali Udgata shines at ‘Miss British Empire’ beauty pageant

Bhubaneswar: Odisha model Shefali Udgata brought laurels to the state and country as she bagged the second runner-up position at the Miss British Empire-2019 held in Sri Lanka.

Shefali, who hails from Balangir, arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here today and received a warm welcome from her admirers.

She was recently crowned as Opera Miss India Global 2019, which gave her the opportunity to represent India at the international beauty pageant, where 79 participants were battling for the top prize.

Udgata performed Odissi in the talent round while blending the classical dance with an instrumental Hollywood song.
