Ollywood actor Sritam’s wife gifts him helmet. Know why

Cuttack: While married Odia women across the state and outside have been observing fast and offering prayers today, wife of Ollywood actor-turned-politician Sritam Das presented him a unique gift on the occasion of ‘Sabitri Amabasya’.

The better half of the actor – Punam— gifted a helmet for his safety while riding a two-wheeler.

The Cuttack boy took to social media site to thank his wife for the gesture.

“Today my Savitree, Punam gifted me Helmet. In this occasion of Savitee amabasya, I would like to request all Savitree please gift a helmet to ur Satyaban and insist them to use helmet regularly while riding bike and use sit belt on driving car. Thanx to Punam for this super Concept,” Sritam’s post read.

The helmet placed on an aarti thali was presented to him by Punam.

On this day, married women observe rituals for long life of their husband on Sabitri Brata.

Incidentally, Sritam made his debut in Ollywood with Sabitri in 1995.

Das, who is also a BJP member, had made headlines on his marriage as he rode a bullock cart with the baraatis on rickshaw.
