Patitapabana bana of Jagannath temple snaps off in Odisha’s Puri

Puri: Holy flag ‘Patitapabana bana’ fixed atop Nilachakra (metal wheel) of centuries old Lord Jagannath temple snapped off here today.

However, there was no change in the daily rituals of deities in the temple as other flags tied to the Nilachakra were unaffected.

The reason for falling off could be either there was error in tying the flag to the metal wheel or due to strong wind.
