Police books notorious criminal under NSA in Odisha

The Commissionerate police today booked Sk Sunil (25) alias Sk Zahir, a notorious criminal under the National Security Act (NSA) for his complicity in the hurling of country made bombs at the residence of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Asirbad Behera on August 29, informed Commissionerate police sources.

Sources said Sunil son of Sk Nazir  of Baunsagali, Darghabazar, Cuttack was a member of the dreaded Tito gang of Kendrapara and has several cases of extortion, bombing and robbery against him in police stations across the cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. Sunil had created a reign of terror in Cuttack with his criminal activities.

Notably, criminals, who terrorize people, create fear and threaten life, are booked under NSA.

Sunil had allegedly planned the bomb attack on the OCA secretary’s residence while he was lodged in Choudwar jail, Commissionerate police sources said.

The notorious criminal is currently lodged in Choudwar jail.

It may be recalled that the Commissionerate police had last month booked another notorious criminal Rajesh Pal of Cuttack under NSA.
