Shocking! Man kills wife, hangs self to death in Odisha   

Berhmapur: In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife by slitting her throat and later committed suicide at Badadungula village under Digapahandi police limits in Ganjam district this morning.

The deceased duo has been identified as Bankia Sethy and Santosini.

Sources said Bankia had married to Santoshini of Odasing village four years ago. For the last four months, Bankia was working in Bhubaneswar as a construction worker while his wife was staying in a rented house at Bagada Main Road.

Bankia had visited his house four days ago and today morning, the couple started fighting over some issue. In a fit of rage, Bankai killed his wife by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon in front of his two-year-old son and later hanged himself to death.

Though, the woman was rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here, doctors declared her dead.

On receiving information, police reached the spot and began an investigation into the incident.
