Students’ union elections in Odisha colleges on Oct 14

Students’ union elections of government and non-Government aided colleges across Odisha will be conducted on October 14. This was announced by Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahi today.

The notifications for the election will be issued on October 3.

“The students will file nomination form for different positions on October 5. The scrutiny of nominations will be done on the same day. The candidates would be allowed to withdraw their nominations on the next day,” informed Panigrahi.

‘What I Stand For’ meeting, an important part of the college elections where candidates pitch for their candidature, will take place on October 13.

The students will cast their votes on October 14 which will continue from morning till 2 pm and votes will be counted the same day. The results would also be declared the same day.

The oath taking ceremony of the elected candidates in different colleges will take place on October 15, said the Minister.
