Sunstroke kills labourer in Odisha’s Khordha

Khordha: A labourer died today due to heat stroke in Nirakarpur, here today.

The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Abhimanyu Pradhan, who was engaged in loading sand on a tractor at about 11 am along with other labourers, when his head began reeling and later he collapsed.

According to reports, he was rushed to Primary Health Centre in Nirakarpur and was later shifted to Khordha District Headquarter Hospital, when his condition worsened. The doctors at the DHH declared him brought dead. His body has been sent for autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.

Worth mentioning, Odisha is still reeling under the impact of heatwave as monsoon is yet to hit the state.
