Swine flu patient admitted to SCB in Odisha

One more swine flu patient was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Odisha’s Cuttack city on Sunday.

The swab of Abhishek Jaiswal (16) of Rourkela area, admitted to the special swine flu ward of the hospital, has been sent to the laboratory for testing.

The patient suffering from fever since past three days was shifted to SCB medical college following swine flu symptoms after preliminary treatment in Rourkela.

A special team of doctors led by Prof CBK Mohanty is treating Abhishek.

“The presence of H1N1 virus will be established after the test reports are received. We can’t be sure of swine flu until the reports are received,” said doctor Mohanty.

It may be noted that, a swine flu patient had died at the SCB hospital in January this year.
