Das had written to the SCW suspecting her husband to be having an extra-marital affair.

Reacting to this, Taradutt said: “Indulata’s allegations are false; I am ready to face any test.”

“I have maintained the sanctity of marriage and she is suspicious by nature,” the 1983 batch IAS officer said.

After meeting SCW Chairperson Lopamudra Buxipatra, Indulata had on Tuesday said: “I have a reason to suspect that my husband was having an extra-marital affair, but would be the happiest person if I am proved wrong. If it’s proven, he should be punished; if it’s otherwise, that should also be proven.”

It may be recalled that Indulata had earlier filed a written complaint with the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell on December 5 last year alleging that her husband is subjecting her to mental and physical torture. She had also complained of a threat to her life and has said she needs police security.
