Two clerks under Odisha Vigilance scanner over DA allegation

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials today raided multiple places in connection with allegation against two clerks regarding possession of assets disproportionate to known sources of income.

The two clerks are Ratnakar Mohanty, Junior Clerk, office of Sub-Registrar, Dharmasala, Jajpur, and Udayanath Jena, Senior Clerk, Office of Sub- Collector, Bhubaneswar.

Sleuths of the anti-corruption agency raided Mohanty’s residential building located at village Chahata under Dharmasala police limits in Jajpur district, his single-storied building at Barajunagar near Jaraka under Dharmasala police limits, Hotel Akash of the clerk at Jalasukha, Jaraka, market complex and building at Shanti Bazar under Dharmasala police limits, house of his relative at village Chandapur under Dharmasala police limits, and his office room in the office of Sub-Registrar, Dharmasala.

Similarly, raids were carried out at Jena’s residential house at Ebarang, Sundarpada, Bhubaneswar, his native place at Endulapur, Rajnagar, Kendrapara, and his office room in the office of Sub Collector, Bhubaneswar.

Till last reports came in, the raids and calculation of total value of their movable and immovable properties were underway.
