Two held for nurse’s rape in Delhi hotel

New Delhi, Aug 18 :

Two men have been arrested on a complaint by a nurse, who hails from Tibet, that they raped her in a south DELHI HOTEL Friday, police said here Monday.

Medical examination of the woman has confirmed rape, said police.

The 25-year-old nurse, who works in a private hospital, lodged a complaint with police Sunday that the men – Neeraj and Rajan – in their early 20s raped her in a hotel located in Nizamuddin area of south Delhi.

Police said the accused were employed as servants by the 80-year-old wife of the HOTEL owner, who was staying at the hotel FOR the past four years in the separate care-taking unit.

“The patient was taking treatment at a hospital and hired the nurse as care-taker for the past two months,” said a police officer. The victim lives with her husband in north Delhi.

Police said the accused had raped her in their room in hotel Friday evening when she came to see the patient. They also threatened her of dire consequences if she disclosed about the assault.

Police said the victim was sexually assaulted twice earlier by the same men.
