Two killed as ambulance hits motorcycle in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj

Baripada: An ambulance hit a motorcycle on which two persons were travelling, killing the duo on Baripada-Udala road near Karanjia Chhak in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district late last night.

The deceased, identified as Hrushikesha Saragharia and Bisikeshan Prusti of Uthaninuagaon village, were returning home on the two-wheeler from a garment shop where they were working.

In the meantime, a private ambulance dashed against the bike leaving Hrushikesha dead on the spot. Bisikeshan sustained critical injuries in the road mishap and was admitted to a nearby hospital.

However, Bisikeshan breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Following the accident, locals detained the ambulance driver and handed him over to police.
