Two killed in road mishap in Odisha’s Sundargarh

In a tragic incident, two youths died on the spot and another youth critically injured in a road accident at Bilaigarh under Rajgangpur police station limits in Odisha’s Sundargarh district this morning.

Sources said three youths were on the way to towards Rourkela in a bike when a private bus, Sarangi (OR-05AE-6336), on to way to Sundagarh from Rourkela, collided head-on with the bike at Bilaigarh.

While two youths died on the spot, another youth was critically injured.

The incident took place at about 9.30 AM.

Following information, police rushed to the spot and sent the two bodies for post mortem and admitted the injured youth to Rourkela Government Hospital and later to Ispat General Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.

The deceased have been identified as Shayun Mundu (23) and Dilip Soy (22) of Kichinda area in Rajgangpur while the injured youth has been identified as Kishore Bhengra (26) of Haldipali village under Rajgangpur police station limits.

“We have seized the bus and efforts are on to nab the absconding bus driver, SP Das, IIC of Rajgangpur police station, told OST.
