Bhubaneswar: The state unit of Congress has come up with a video album launching a scathing attack on Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his non-appearance in public life and the state of affairs in the governance among other things.
National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of Indian National Congress, released the album here today.
Through the music video titled ‘Hey Naveen Dekha De Nahele Jawab De’, the state unit of Congress questioned the CM for his selective appearance and not making statement on various key issues concerning the state.
The interlude has been sung by veteran Congress leader and Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati followed by NSUI Odisha unit President Yasir Nawaz and Cuttack District Congress Committee President Manas Choudhury rendering their voice in the album. The leaders have questioned the BJD administration’s transparency as well as 5T Secretary VK Pandian’s role in the governance.
The music video highlights Pandian’s official visits to various districts for review meetings sans concerned department heads, the government’s inaction against companies for encroachment of public and private land and BJD Supremo’s action against leaders, who raise voice against Pandian.
The soundtrack of the album resembles popular Odia song of an album ‘Hey Prabhu Dekha De’ released in 2016. The satirical lyrics invokes God to shower wealth and prosperity on the seekers had made the album an instant hit then.
