Weather alert: Thunderstorm likely in 15 Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre today issued thunderstorm warning for as many as 15 districts of Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Koraput, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Ganjam and Nabarangpur, the Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri,Kalahandi, Nuapada, Cuttack, Kendrapara and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha, it added.

Temperature Forecast: Maximum temperature (Day temperature) very likely to rise by 3-5 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of North Odisha during next 48 hours and no large change in maximum temperature thereafter over the districts of Odisha.
