Youth from Jharkhand murdered in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Joda: A youth from neighbouring Jharkhand State was hacked to death in Odisha’s Keonjhar district late last night. The deceased was identified as Vishal Hunjar (25) from Ukumatakama village in Jharkhand.

Vishal was staying at the house of his relative in Banshapani of Keonjhar district for past one month. He went outside the house at around 10 pm to attend nature’s call. As he did not return home, his family members searched for him at nearby places.

Some locals initially spotted a youth’s bloodstained body lying on roadside of Joda-Bamebari Expressway near Banshapani this morning.

After receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the body for post mortem. Vishal’s family members later identified the body.

Also, a scythe was seized from the spot. The police registered a murder case and launched an investigation into the matter.
