After MP, BDO tests COVID-19 positive in Bhadrak district

Bhadrak: Block Development Officer (BDO) Durgacharan Murmu of Dhamnagar in Bhadrak district has tested positive for deadly Coronavirus.

Informing this on his official Twitter handle, district Collector Gyana Das wished him a speedy recovery. As Murmu will undergo treatment,  ABDO will function as the BDO In-charge during his absence, the Collector said.

Earlier in August, Bhadrak MP Manjulata Mandal had tested positive for the virus. Besides,  Chandbali Tehsildar had been infected with COVID-19 in the recent past.

Today, the district reported 46 positive cases, including three from Dhamnagar. With the fresh cases, the district’s tally surged to 3504, including 808 active and 2687 recovered cases. So far, nine patients have succumbed to the virus in the district.
