The students of Nuasahi College resorted to a road block in protest against the lackadaisical attitude of the officials to construct the road connecting Kaptipada-Jadida which they say becomes a virtual death trap, especially during monsoons.

The agitating students burnt tyres and blocked the road disrupting the vehicular traffic for quite some time.

Following the incident, Kaptipada Block Development Officer (BDO) Yudhisthir Nayak and an Assistant Engineer of Rural Development department rushed to the spot the persuade the agitators to lift the road blockade. However, the officials had to bear the brunt of the students as they made them walk through the slush to make them realise their harrowing experience every day.
