COVID-19: Jharsuguda district administration deploys 64 teams in containment zone

Jharsuguda: A day after announcing the containment zone order in Budhijam, the Jharsuguda district administration today said 64 teams have been engaged to undertake door step health survey with necessary reinforcement. In the containment zone, active surveillance of all the households in the demarcated area has been carried out. The area is having a population 13,857 comprised in 3,121 households.

At the ratio of 1:5, there are 13 medical teams to visit the households of individual members showing initial symptoms like fever and respiratory problems.

There is also a control room having 06645-242075 as the contact telephone no. operating for the containment area to mitigate the issues arising out of total restriction.

The local administration has deployed six vehicles for doorstep vending so that the supply chain has been kept uninterrupted.

In a statement, the administration said the vendors are also looking after need of medicines as per the prescription of doctors. The households are being acquainted with the system of telemedicine i.e. the system of “Doctors at call” and the telephone nos. have been shared.

Steps are being taken to keep in reserve hired technical personnel to attend the complaints of plumbing, electricity connection and technical snag in electronic appliances.

Besides the health teams three Officers, about 12 functionaries of other departments and ward officers of Municipalities are working continuously under the supervision of Sub-Collector, Jharsuguda who is camping at Brajrajnagar to realise the objective of containment and keep the day to day living of the inhabitants comfortable.
