Debasis Mohanty to receive Biju Patnaik Sports Award for Lifetime Achievement

Bhubaneswar: Debasis Mohanty, the first international cricketer from Odisha, will receive the prestigious Biju Patnaik Sports Award for Lifetime Achievement.

Mohanty will be conferred with the award on August 29 on the occasion of National Sports Day.

Similarly, weightlifter Jhili Dalabehera and shooter Shriyanka Sadangi have been selected for Biju Patnaik Sports Award for outstanding performance.

Likewise, Bishnu Prasad Mishra, coach of para athlete Jayanti Behera, will receive Biju Patnaik Sports Award for excellence in coaching.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to present the awards to the winners.
