Forest dept staff dies in elephant attack in Odisha

Khordha, Jan 10:
A Forest department staff died after sustaining critical injuries in an elephant attack at Mangalajodi village under Tangi police limits in Odisha’s Khordha district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Surendra Behera.
According to reports, the pachyderm attacked Behera yesterday when he was trying to send the jumbo back to forest.
He was grievously injured and admitted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. However, Behera succumbed to his injuries today while undergoing treatment.
In a similar incident, a resident of Tuluka village in Satkosia sanctuary of Angul district was killed after being attacked by an elephant today.
