Former Odisha CM JB Patnaik’s son likely to contest polls

Bhubaneswar: Former Odisha Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader late Janaki Ballav Patnaik’s son Pruthvi Ballav Patnaik is keen to contest Assembly polls from Begunia constituency.

“I am not sure whether party will give ticket to me. If party gives me ticket, I will try my best,” Pruthvi told media.

The former Assam Governor’s son, who has stayed away from politics, will make his maiden foray into electoral politics, if given a party ticket.

Worth mentioning, JB Patnaik had represented Begunia constituency twice in his five decade-long political career.
