Madhusmita Mohanty conferred with Mahari Samman

Renowned Odissi danseuse Madhusmita Mohanty was conferred with the prestigious Mahari Samman for the year 2014 at the Guru Pankaj Utsav at Rabindra Mandap here on Monday evening.

“I extend my profound gratitude to the Adiguru Pankaj Charan Das Trust for selecting me for this prestigious award in the name of the legendary guru. I am also grateful to the people of my state who have recognized my talent and brought me to this level of honour and recognition”, Mohanty said while receiving the award.

The award, instituted by Adiguru Pankaj Charan Das, carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a citation and a plaque.
