Man hacks 25-YO wife’s social media accounts, uploads intimate videos in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: In a bizarre incident, a man allegedly hacked his 25-year-old wife’s social media accounts and uploaded her intimate photos and videos, barely six months after their marriage.

The complainant was staying with her in-laws in Banki area in Cuttack but later left the house as her husband allegedly started torturing her both physically and mentally over dowry.

A resident of Sundarpada area here, the woman met Twin City Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi last evening demanding action against her husband.

A case in this regard was also lodged by the woman at Mahila Police Station here on July 2.

She alleged that her husband, who works as a system engineer in Hyderabad-based company, hacked her Facebook and Instagram accounts and posted their intimate videos a month ago.

She reported the matter to local police in Banki. When the cops along with the complainant went to the latter’s in-laws house for investigation, the door was locked from outside. Later, she lodged an FIR at the Mahila police station here in this regard.

“The accused got bail in the case from Orissa High Court. Recently, he again uploaded my intimate videos on my social media. I want him to be arrested soon and stringent action be taken against him,” the woman said.

On the other hand, the woman’s husband refuted the allegation terming it to be baseless.
