Naveen greets Odisha people on Dussehra

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Dussehra, also called Vijaya Dashmi.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Patnaik wished everyone on the festive occasion and sought Devi Durga’s blessings for prosperity and happiness of one and all.

Dussehra marks the culmination of the 10-day long Navratri festival, in which Goddess Durga is worshipped.

It is also believed to be the day when Lord Ram defeated Ravana, and is celebrated as a festival of victory of good on evil.
