Odisha: One killed, another critical in bike-truck collision

Jagatsinghpur: A person was killed and another suffered critical injuries after the bike they were riding on collided with a hyva truck on NH-55 near Jogadhari in Jagatsinghpur district today.

The deceased has been identified as Suryakanta Satpathy of Teratanga village under Balikuda police limits in the district .

The incident took place when Suryakanta along with his friend Muna Das of Alabhara village were going to Cuttack at around 5.30 AM today. Due to poor visibility for fog condition, the bike collided with the truck coming from opposite direction. The truck driver fled the spot after the accident. Later, police reached the spot and began an investigation.

Meanwhile, the injured person has been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack from Jagatsinghpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) after his condition deteriorated.
