Twin City Commissionerate Police filed a 454-page charge sheet against notorious criminal siblings Sushil Dhalasamanta, Sushant Dhalsamanta and four of their associates—Debasish Kar, Nirmal Rout, Debasish Sahu alias Gudu and Sanjay Kumar Sahu alias Bhajana.

According to sources, the investigators filed the charge sheet based on interrogation of 58 witnesses in the case.

“Charge sheet in the Om murder case has been submitted today a day before the expiry of the stipulated period. Under various sections of IPC, charges of abduction, criminal conspiracy, murder, destroying evidence and Sec 25, 27 of Arms Act have been framed against the accused,” Biswajit Baral, Assistant Public Prosecutor said.

Notably, the Dhalasamanta duo had allegedly eliminated Om and Deepak Mallick alias Dipu who were their former henchmen.

On May 26 this year, Commissionerate police had submitted a 1,120 page charge sheet before the Cuttack Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate Court against 14 persons, including the two Dhalasamanta brothers, in connection with Dipu murder case.

On November 12, 2013, the two were allegedly kidnapped to the farmhouse in Athagarh area where they were bludgeoned to death. After killing the duo, Dhalsamanta brothers moved their bodies to West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand in a bid to destroy evidence. The bodies were burnt and buried near a village under Badajamda outpost under Gua police station limits.
