Odisha Vigilance officials today arrested Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital (DHH) optometrist Srinivas Chinara for allegedly demanding a receiving a bribe of Rs 2,000.

According to sources, Chinara had demanded the amount from one Trilochan Satpathy of Damodarpur village under Sukinda police limits in the district to provide lens to the latter.

Satpathy reported the matter to Vigilance following which a trap was laid by the agency and Chinara was caught red handed while receiving the money.
